Surfers Paradise
Having left Byron Bay and couple off days ago, I took a short Greyhound journey to Surfers Paradise. I was leaving New South Wales and heading up the east coast to Queensland. Queensland is better known as the Gold Coast, which gives you a clue what you can expect, beaches, sunshine etc..
I can assure you Surfer Paradise was exactly that. Arrived at Surfers and it is Australia’s version of Miami. A long beautiful beach, running parallel is all the designer shops, restaurants and bars. Surfers has an amazing skyline with the number off high rise buildings and hotels.
Every Saturday the youth hostel set-up a “BIG NIGHT OUT”. This is basically a night out in the town centre where all the youth hostels get together and go on a club crawl, visiting in total about 5 clubs. Its a great opportunity to meet other backpackers. Once again perfect timing.
Other than that there is nothing to report on, other than I’m now heading off to Fraser Island.
Signing off for now Shah.

Hallo there Shah,
I found your blog by searching WordPress. I’m in Surfers Paradise right now and you’re right — it’s gorgeous. I’ll be putting up some photos on my blog soon too. Come and take a look at it in a couple of days, to see if the photos bring back any memories of your own time on the Gold Coast
Seeya on the travel blogs,
